Attendances is a product of Lamda Infotech Private Limited, Kolkata — building software for educational institutions since 2012.
We build for schools, and only for schools
Lamda Infotech has been writing software for educational institutions since 2012. Over that time we have built the products a school actually runs on: School On Web (the administrative ERP), School eDiary (the parent app, with over 100,000 downloads), School eExam, College On Web, an admission app — and Attendances, the product on this site.
Attendances exists because our own ERP customers kept asking the same question: the register is digital, so why does the parent still not know their child arrived? We built the answer, put it in front of a school gate, and then rebuilt it repeatedly based on what a corridor full of teenagers actually does at 9:40 in the morning. What runs today is the result of that.
Everything is engineered and maintained in house. When something needs fixing, there is no third-party vendor between you and the person who wrote the code.

Attendance is a communication problem wearing a hardware costume
For twenty years the industry answered “we need better attendance” by selling a machine. Buy a terminal, wire it up, enrol everyone, print a log. The register got more accurate and precisely nobody was better informed.
The moment worth engineering around is not the punch — it is the second after it, when a parent ten kilometres away could be told that their child is safely inside the gate. Once you design for that, the hardware question answers itself: use the phone that is already in the building, keep the intelligence in the cloud, and spend your effort on the message rather than the mounting bracket.
